Food Photography
Food is love. It’s how we remember the people who came before us — and how we stay connected to them. My grandmother gave me her molasses cookie recipe (which Mrs. Mullin gave her), my mom gave me her applesauce recipe, and I give everyone my pie dough recipe. (Honestly, it’s perfect. Why are you making any other crust?)
Food photography can get a little clinical — the perfect scatter of crumbs, the golden ratio lining up just right — but I’m always chasing something warmer. The memory. The made-with-love energy. The part that lingers long after the last bite.
