Food Photography

Food is love. It’s one of the ways we remember the people who came before us, and stay connected to them. My grandmother gave me her molasses cookie recipe (which Mrs. Mullin gave her), my mom gave me her applesauce recipe, and I give everyone my pie dough recipe. (Honestly, it’s perfect. Why are you making any other crust?)

That's what I'm chasing when I photograph food. Not the plate or the perfection, but the made-with-love energy.
